St Nicholas C of E Primary School
The Hurst and Ruscombe National School was founded in 1818 with the boys and girls housed on
separate sites. The girls were eventually accomodated on the present school site and the
boy's school is now a private house.
At St. Nicholas C of E Primary School, the aim is to direct the total educational resources
towards achieving a Christian environment within which all children can grow into confident,
caring and adaptable learners, discovering their full potential.

Founded in Hurst over 30 years ago, Dolphin School is an Independent, IAPS, Day School for boys and girls aged from 3 to 13 years.
Working in partnership with St Nicholas Hurst Parish Council, Dolphin School has opened up the use of some of its facilities to organised groups within the Hurst community. Currently these include Football, Tennis and Netball for the adults and a chess club on Thursday afternoons which children from St Nicholas' School regularly attend.
